Learning along the food chain |
|
Healthy eating and sustainability are essential lessons for children, and looking at the food chain is a great way to combine the two. A new 7-minute DVD for teachers which shows children visiting farms, gardening in school, cooking, visiting a farmers' market and enjoying a local food school meal, is now available from FACE. It includes an appearance by education minister Jane Hutt AM, speaking at the recent Appetite for Life conference on school meals.
Watch it here. Or order a copy from Jane Powell on 01970 622248. You can also download an information sheet to accompany the DVD.
